Congratulations to the HCHD Foundation 2023-2024 Children's Health Fund Recipients

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation Children’s Health Fund is a permanent endowment established to support children’s health issues in Harris Health System and the Harris County Community.

The Children’s Health Advisory Committee met on May 4, 2023 where they reviewed, evaluated, and agreed to support seventeen programs for a total of $766,154.00.

On behalf of the Harris County Hospital District Foundation Board of Trustees and the Children’s Health Advisory Committee, it is our pleasure to congratulate our 2023 – 2024 Children’s Health Fund recipients!

A suite of community-based programs offers to families with young children that addresses early brain development, social drivers of health, mental health, and maternal-child health and wellness.

Provides educational support and enrichment activities that bridge gaps in learning, improve academic performance and social skills, and offer health education and nutritious meals for children in Houston's under-represented East end neighborhoods.

Provides free fitness classes to the underserved children of Clemente Martinez Elementary and the special needs children at Next Step Academy. The schools cannot afford the high cost of transportation.
