Our story
The Harris County Hospital District Foundation (HCHD Foundation) was a proud Bronze Sponsor of the 2023 NAMIWalks Greater Houston, held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Sam Houston Park.
NAMIWalks is the largest, most vibrant mental health event series in the country. It is presented by NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, known locally as NAMI Greater Houston. Over the past year alone, NAMIWalks has surged to new levels of popularity and impact, leading NAMI to be recognized as the Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Organization of the Year!
Funds raised directly support NAMI Greater Houston’s mission of education, advocacy, support and public awareness.
The Harris Health System also participated in this annual event, not only by providing EMT support, but also with 11 registered walkers!
The HCHD Foundation will continue sponsoring worthwhile events such as this.
