Marcy and Tom Wessel generously opened their lovely home to host the Harris County Hospital District Foundation’s Eleventh Annual Silver Tea on May 10th. The Silver Tea raises funds in support of the Harris County Hospital District’s nursing staff. Proceeds from the event benefit the Nursing Leadership Fund, which provides assistance for nursing continuing education as well as for nursing research initiatives conducted and coordinated by the Hospital District’s professional nurses.
Dr. Mattox presented with flags in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. On September 11, 2011, U.S. Army Captain Robin Riggs, RN, presented Foundation Trustee & Ben Taub General Hospital Chief of Staff Dr. Kenneth L.
