The Foundation’s final event for 2013 will be our annual Mallets & Medicine fundraiser at the Houston Polo Club. Please plan on being with us.
Our event chairs are Diane Caplan, Lavonne Cox, Judi McGee, and Roseann Rogers. Our 2013 Honorary Chair is Dr. Carlos Vallbona of Baylor College of Medicine.
The October 27, 2013 afternoon event begins at 3:00 and will feature a Champagne Reception followed by a polo fundamentals orientation
and the exciting Harvest Cup polo match.
If you have never been to the Houston Polo Club, now is the time. The action on the field is spectacular. You’ll meet the players, our honoree, our dedicated underwriters, our charming event chairs, and some of Houston’s most interesting and dynamic polo aficionados.
We are proud to announce that renowned Baylor College of Medicine physician and professor, Dr. Carlos Vallbona, will be our Honorary Chair for the event. Harris Health System recently recognized Dr. Vallbona by dedicating the Vallbona Health Center, one of Harris Health’s thirteen Community Centers. BCM physicians staff Harris Health System’s Ben Taub General Hospital and also serve in the community health clinics.
