HCHD Foundation hosts Harris Health System Trauma Survivors Celebration

The HCHD Foundation Board of Trustees and staff would like to take this opportunity to thank our generous Good Samaritan sponsors: McCarthy Building Companies, Tellepsen, and O’Donnell/Snider Construction for supporting the Harris County Hospital District Foundation-Harris Health Trauma Survivors dinner on May 28, 2024.

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation (HCHD Foundation) proudly hosted the 2024 Harris Health Trauma Survivors Celebration dinner on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Hotel ZaZa situated in the heart of the vibrant Museum District, world-renowned Texas Medical Center and thriving downtown central business district of Houston Texas.

This was a very successful event!

This event celebrated 9 Trauma survivors, the excellent doctors, nurses, and staff that provided the exceptional care in The Ginni and Richard Mithoff Trauma Center (Level I Trauma Center) at Ben Taub Hospital, affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine and

The Trauma Center (Level III Trauma Center) at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, affiliated with McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth)

the night the trauma event occurred. It was heart-felt to hear their stories and have them, and their families, meet the doctors, nurses and staff, usually for the first time, that provided the care.

The event was well attended by members of the HCHD Foundation Board – Mr. Wea Lee, Mr. Michael Chadwick, Ms. Beth Young, Mrs. Wanda LeBlanc, Dr. Ewan Johnson and Ms. Marianne Fanning; the Foundation staff members Mr. Jeffrey Baker, Ms. Carolyn Amos and Ms. Veronica Washington; Harris Health System Board of Trustees, and keynote speaker Commissioner Adrian Garcia along with others.
