Harris Health Trauma Survivors Celebration Dinner

HARRIS HEALTH TRAUMA SURVIVORS CELEBRATION DINNER

Life as we know it can change in the blink of an eye. An oncoming car, an unavoidable tumble, a gunshot… events that set in motion a fight for life and normality.

Harris County residents are fortunate that when they experience life-threatening events, they have access to Harris Health and some of the best emergency medicine doctors and nurses, and trauma surgeons in the nation—if not the world.

May is National Trauma Awareness Month and the Harris County Hospital District Foundation (HCHD Foundation) proudly sponsors the Harris Health Trauma Survivors Celebration Dinner.  This event honors the trauma survivor along with the excellent emergency medical professionals and trauma physicians on staff the night of the trauma who cared for the individual in one of the following two Harris Health Trauma Centers:

  • The Ginni and Richard Mithoff Trauma Center (Level I Trauma Center) at Ben Taub Hospital, affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine
  • The Trauma Center (Level III Trauma Center) at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, affiliated with McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth)

This is the first time in a number of instances the trauma survivor will meet the team that provided them the excellent care.

We hope that you will join us as an additional Sponsor of this Celebratory evening.  The goal is to raise $100,000.00 to cover the cost of the dinner, the video and support the Harris Health System Trauma Program for education, community outreach, and awareness.
