April 27- May 1 is Patient Experience Week

April 27 – May 1 is National Patient Experience Week and an opportunity to recognize and thank all staff for the compassionate care and exceptional experience you provide to our patients every day.

It’s through our efforts to champion exceptional care for our patients through a flawless patient experience that truly defines the quality of our work.

How and what our patients perceive about their interactions shape their future decisions regarding where to access care. Their encounters also impact the perceptions they have of Harris Health, which they share with family and friends.

Every employee is responsible for helping to ensure our patients have a positive experience. However, four key departments are specialists in patient satisfaction:

1. Concierge Services – Serves as a central hub to a myriad of Harris Health services and resources. Its primary goal is to serve patients and visitors from point of entry to the point of exit.

2. Patient Satisfaction – Uses feedback from our patients to learn about the patient experience and identifies opportunities for improvement.

3. Patient Customer Relations – Provides assistance in resolving patient inquiries or concerns.

4. Volunteer Services – Recruits, trains and places community members in positions throughout Harris Health facilities to enhance the services we provide.
