Boy Scout Gives Back in Major Way

Thank you to Daniel Canas for dedicating his Eagle Scout project to the New Beginnings program. Daniel is a senior at Stratford High School and a member of Memorial Drive Methodist Church’s Boy Scout Troop in Mustang District. Because of Daniel’s excellent planning and management skills, he collected over 800 newborn items for HCHD Foundation to help support at-risk families with a “baby shower in a basket”, each stocked with brand new newborn essentials like diapers, blankets, health kits, bath supplies and clothing. These baskets spread heartwarming smiles as the moms receive an unexpected surprise before leaving the hospital. HCHD Foundation is grateful for the community support of caring individuals like Daniel!
