A Thank You and a Fond Farewell

Next Friday, the 28th of February, I will be retiring as Harris Health’s President and CEO, and pass the leadership baton to my successor, Dr. Esmaeil Porsa. I was a member of the selection committee that recommended Dr. Porsa to our Board of Trustees. I am delighted that Dr. Porsa was chosen to succeed me.

I want to take this opportunity to thank every member of the Harris Health family – our staff, volunteers and medical school partners – for your support through the years and for all the great work you do every day to care for our patients.

I extend my gratitude to our Board of Trustees and the members of Commissioners Court for entrusting the leadership of Harris Health to me for the past six years as CEO. I can think of no greater privilege.

Harris Health’s greatness is a product of the mission focus and dedication to our patients exhibited by each and every one of you every day. There will always be challenges to overcome. That is just the way it is. But there is no doubt in my mind that I leave Harris Health in good hands – your hands. Keep up the great work. You are the best!
