Larry L. Mathis was chief executive officer of The Methodist Healthcare System in Houston. He served as chairman of the boards of the Greater Houston Hospital Council, the Texas Hospital Association, the American Hospital Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has also been the recipient of the American College of Healthcare Executives Gold Medal, his profession’s highest award for career achievement. Mr. Mathis currently serves as vice chairman emeritus of the Harris County Hospital District Foundation and lends his professional expertise to the operations of the Foundation.
