Barbara Schachtel, Ph.D

Dr. Schachtel received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas School of Public Health and was affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital and The Methodist Hospital. She was formally the Vice-President of the Harris County Mental Health Association, President of Wellesley Club of Houston, and Board Member of Child Guidance Association. Dr. Schachtel is the recipient of the “Who’s Who of American Women” award in 1991-92 and the “Good Heart Award” by the B’nai B’rith Women. She was honored, “Great Texan” by the National Foundation of Ileitis and Colitis.
