Nursing Practice and Professional Advancement’s Work-School Program

Harris Health Nurses are supported by each other. Harris Health System and HCHD Foundation encourage nurses to pursue higher education to become Nursing Leaders.

  • Full-time employees currently working in unlicensed nursing positions OR licensed vocational nurses who are seeking a BSN receive up to a maximum of one (1) work-school hour of class they are enrolled in, up to 16 hours per week.
  • Full-time employees currently working in licensed professional nursing positions (RNs) who are seeking an RN-BSN, MSN, or doctoral degrees receive 8 work-school hours per semester for each credit hour of class enrolled.
