In the Harris County Hospital District Foundation November 8, 2023 board meeting, the Trustees unanimously voted to proudly donate $1 million to the Harris Health System Strategic Fund.

The mission of the Harris County Hospital District Foundation is
to enhance the broad healthcare mission of the Harris Health System
by soliciting and raising funds for programs, and increasing the
community’s awareness of the Harris Health System.

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation, a charitable 501(c)3 organization, raises funds and awareness in support of Harris Health System. Established in 1992, the HCHD Foundation has raised and granted in excess of

Foundation Events

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation has created and sponsored over the years a number of annual events in the community with the goal of raising community awareness about the HCHD Foundation, Harris Health System, the patients served while, at the same time, raising funds targeted for a specific Harris Health System program or service.

HCHD Foundation Small Grants Fund

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation Board of Trustees approves funds monthly for short-term pilot projects benefiting patients of Harris Health System. All Harris Health System pavilions, clinics, and departments are eligible to apply for grants, up to $5,000 – available for qualifying pilot projects and are awarded on a one time, one term basis.

Children's Health Fund

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation Children’s Health Fund is a permanent endowment devoted to children’s health issues in Harris County.  The proceeds of this endowment support integrated health projects for children who are not eligible for other similar services and who are at the highest risk in Harris County and Harris Health System.

Supporting Harris Health System

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation makes an impact by working hand-in-hand with the Harris Health Administration to fund projects and initiatives that have been identified as “the greatest need” in the community.  Our work aims to enhance the quality of the workplace found at Harris Health facilities for all employees.
